So far so good...except for the

2-29-12-----Leap Day!!! Heaven is doing great so far. Right now she is eating waffle fries and mashed potatoes, Samantha ordered a spicy chicken sand. with waffle fries and they are downing so Monsters. LoL. The girls laughed their heads off at me when I went to raise Heavens bed earlier so that she could eat some cereal and the head of her bed fell,,,not once but twice!!! They laughed at me of the expression on my face...thay said it was priceless. LoL. SHe will be getting a new bed. She will be getting her 4th chemo treatment at 1:00 p.m. and she will also be getting eye drops (Decadron) to keep the chemo from affecting her eyes. Please continue to pray that all goes well.
I will update later this evening.

Maintainence just came in and said that he has no clue whats wrong with the bed and is ordering Heaven a new one. Also, I received a call and was informed that Heaven has been approved for a Make-A Wish!!! Boy her mind is moving now as to what she really what she would like to wish for.
So far so good...Heaven has had 5 treatments so far and God is good. Heaven had another taste for Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt, so off I went to get ehr some Country Vanilla w/ crushed Oreos. YUM!!! I had country vanilla with chocolate rocks and Samantha has Country Vanilla with crushed reese cups. Thank you all fo rthe calls and prayers. Back at the Hospital

‎2-28-12.....We all left this morning around 7:15 a.m. to head for the hospital. We made a pit stop ont he way and visited with Papa Doyle and it was a sweet time. He still looks good to me. Goodlooking fella he is. :) Anyways, we arrived here at the hospital around 9:30 and when we made it upstairs Heavens Dr. wanted her accessed within 15 minutes so they could do the Lumbar Puncture. It took a l...ittle longer for the LP because her body was tence and she actually woke up twice during the procedure. Well, the news is, she will not be getting the 1000mg of Cytarabine twice a day...she will be getting 1480mg twice because the calculate it by "per meter sq." which is the BSA (Body Surface Area) so This is why there is an increase int he amount that she will be receiving.....I ask you to please pray for Heaven that all will go well with this round of chemo. I am now heading to LJS to get Heaven some chicken and then to Sweet Frog because Heaven and Samantha want some ice cream. Love you all and we will also be praying for all of you. ♥

Waiting on Lab results

I just called the Carilion Childrens Clinic and Heaven's results so far are.......

WBC--- 4.7
Platelets--- 213

No one is available right now to calculate her ANC so as soon as we get that number, we will know whether we will be heading to Roanoke tomorrow or not. Please pray for a high number.

O.K. here are the results of the ANC.......1800!!!!! AMEN and no Bone Marrow Needed!!!!! Praise God!!!!! Heaven will only have to have the Lumbar Puncture. Thank you Lord!!!

And the Winner is.......

I was so happy for Samantha yesterday...she was grinning from ear to ear after she got home from church. They had a Chilli Cookoff and she won 1st Place. She was so excited. THey gave her a gift card as a prize.
I tell ya, my girls can cook. ♥ Congrats again Sam. Members of the church wanted her recipe and she told them that she doesn't have one, as actually we don't, we just pick it out open it or cut it up, dump, cook, eat. LoL May you all have a very Yummy and tasteful day today.

It's Sunny on Sunday

Happy Sunday morning everyone ♥...I am still in awe over yesterdays events and my heart is still filled with the blessings of of others that love the Lord.

Heaven had a friend come over yesterday evening and I do believe that they probably stayed up into the weeee hours of the morning. I am goign to keep her home today as a safety precaution...Sunday mornings at church more people show up and one of them may be sick and we don't need her to catch anything. Her labs will be drawn again tomorrow and I will then update you all with her counts and with what the Dr. says. Blessings to all and may you find Christ today if you are lost and undone without Him.

Here is a link to watch the video that Samantha made while all the bikers were leaving...we so hated to see them go. Not sure why the video won't show up on here.

Sons of Thunder

WoW!!! what a day we had today...I am still feeling so overwhelmed as to the events that took place today. WoW!!! I thank God I serve a Saviour that looks upon the heart of man and not on the outside, as man does. Wayne, Myself, Samantha and Heaven were so blessed today...just so blessed. We were able to "Sons of Thunder" bikers and oh my, what a blessing.

Testimonies were coming one after, but the main one that was told, I do believe, helped encourage Heaven so much. The mans name was Shannon and he testified how Christ helped him be a A.L.L. Survivor...exactly what I wanted Heaven to here. A.L.L. is normally found in children and he was an adult and A.M.L. is normally found in adults and Heaven is a child, so that testimony that Shannon had told mainly to and for her,,,really helped her alot.

We were having so much fun/ fellowship & food with the men and ladies that came about 2 hours away and drove in the high winds to come and pray with and for a little 12 yr. old girl in Virginia.....I pray that Christ will certainly abundantly bless them with all that they can spititually hold. I would love to just hug them all again. Our family just keeps growing and I am so glad.....I love big families.

To all of them men and ladies that battled the wind and long trip today to come and pray for our daughter and family.....We miss you so much and it feels as though we have known you all for years. Also, if there is one among you that doesn't know Jesus as your personal Saviour...I pray that todays events have changed your heart. Please stay in touch and may God's grace abound upon you all wherever you may go. Love you all ♥

She is feeling really good today and bothe girls were happy that their little neice was able to come and spend time with them. She is a total cutie!!! Heaven si now laid back on the couch jsut relaxing and chillin' and letting those ANC numbers come up for Mondays labs. The Sons of Thunder is coming up tomorrow...I will add more about that tomorrow. Storms and high winds have battled their way through the area today and certainly can blow you over. lol. So glad we have a nice warm/cool place to be today. Lord, pleae be with all of the homeless folks out there and help them to find shelter when needed.

Great Day out with my Girls

‎2-23-12.....I took the girls uptown today to the mall to walk around, but when we pulled in we could here an aweful sound in the front passenger side tire. Well, yesterday we just had the rotors and brakes replaced on our truck and one of them messed up...took it back to Jim Mills and received top notch service and they had it fixed in no time, and that Trina and Fred that works in the service they are a hoot!!! Love'em. So once finished...we headed back to the mall and hung out there for a while. We done a little shopping at Maurices and B&BW and then Heaven spotted the wig store, we went in and she found a nice wig for only $29.95 very nice service and we were in and out fast. Then we stopped in Chic-fa-let and had lunch and we just had a great time and Heaven felt really good today and we just loved spending precious time together,,,just me and the girls ♥
Heavens new do.....isn't she so beautiful!!!

Great News!!!

Got some great news today....Heaven labs came back and here are the results.....

We are going to have to wait and take labs again on Monday but for sure we will be heading to Roanoke on Tuesday. And, if your wondering what the great news I was talking to the Clinic Nurse I asked her about the "road map" which is what we as parents use to... keep up with all of the information about the chemo. Well I have 4 maps and was thinking that there was 2 more for a total of 6...well, the great news is Heaven is already half way through!!!! Praise the Lord!!! I was informed that She only has this round of chemo and 1 more round after this. Glory!!! I am so thankful that I serve a BIG Saviour!!! Thank you Lord, I have so much to be thankful much!! Thank you all for praying and please continue to pray fervently...prayer is moving mountains. ♥

Pillows from Heaven

For anyone who would like to help us in a small ministry and be a blessing to many, many children, you can go to our blog and make a donation to help. We now have PayPal up and running (boy it was hard to figure out). I know times are hard for everyone but I keep reminding myself that God is good and He will definately bless any amount that you can help with. Thank you all for your many prayers for Heaven and our family. We will be heading back to Carilion Clinic Childrens Hospital later this week (week Feb. 23-25th, 2012) for Heavens next round of chemo. Please pray as the Dr.s are having to give her very aggressive chemo so that they can drive this Leukemia back to hell where it belongs. Thanks You Jesus for keeping me focused on You and others instead of our own trial. ♥ For those who don't know Jesus personally...John 3:16:::For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Call upon Him today for tomorrow may be to late.

eautiful day covered with Snow

‎2-20-12.....The Home Nurse came by this morning and took labs from Heaven...the results are in.....

Dr. Edwards said for me not to be to concerned with the counts coming up slow beings she is getting a very aggressive form of chemotherapy and that each time it may take a little longer for her body to recover, he also thinks she will be ready by Thursday (labs drawn again on Wed.) so with that could be the end of this year or even later before she is done with all of her chemo. But hey, God is still in control and He is still on the Throne. Thank you Jesus for your healing hand and for watching over us the way You have. Please continue to pray, pray, pray. ♥ you all.

We notcied that Heaven was getting low on pizza rolls, so Wyane gave me $40 to go to the grocery store. Well, when he figured that I would be going tby myself he said that he would go with me. Beautiful Day Outside

‎2-18-12.....Heaven is feeling pretty good today. Her and Samantha are outside taking some pics. Heaven's tip of the tube going into her port had come off so we reinforced it with a new tip and some tape until Monday. I called the Home Nurse and she said it should be o.k. until Monday if we keep it clamped off. Heaven does not like unnessesary dressing changes. LoL. Doing a lot of cleaning inside and out today, trying to get things organized before we leave for the hospital next week. ♥

Great Sunny Day today

Heaven actually got up on her own this morning...pretty cool if you ask me. She has her color back in her skin from receiving 2 units of blood yesterday. She spent a little time outside today. I had some errands to run uptown and Samantha and Heaven stayed home. I had called the neighbor below us and the neighbor above us to ask if they would listen out for the girls in case they needed anything, all went well. So glad we are blessed with neighbors that look out for each other.

Dr. Edwards seems to think that Heaven will be ready for chemo to start again next week, anyways, it will be in Gods timing. Amen!!! We were so blessed today, one of our prayers was answered and also more donations came in and are coming in for so glad that people are following the leading of the Spirit to donate for such a great cause. Please keep the donations coming in.

Hope you all enjoyed the beautiful sunny day today as much as we did. Thank you Jesus for taking such good care of our family. Love to all and may many blessings come your way.

Here is a pic of Heaven at the Clinic yesterday with Beth and Emily. I am so grateful that the girls were able to come together for a short time and actually just chat. Emily and Beth are 2 others that receives treatments at Carilion Childrens Hospital, but Beth is going to be transferring soon...we will be sad to see her go beings we all just met. Lord, please keep you loving hand upon these girls and all the others that are fighting different types of Leukemia. <3

Happy Valentines Day....Clinic Visit

‎2-14-12.....Happy valentines Day everyone. Myself, Heaven and Samantha are getting ready to leave for Roanoke, we are going to stop for a VD breakfast and then after that we are heading to the Hem/Onc Clinic for Heaven to receive her blood transfushion. Please pray that we have safe travels. Last night Heaven turned really pale due to the low oxygen in her blood (hemoglobins 6.6) and I sorta kept a vigil on her through the night. Please continue to pray for a full recovery so Heaven can go out and play in the yard like she wants to. Thanks a love ♥ to you all.
After 10 hours at the Clinic we were finally able to head home. First off when we got there, they had a couple unexpected patients, then the drew blood from Heaven so they could get blood from the blood bank, then they had to change her dressing and apply EMLA cream (numbing agent) for an hour and during this time we were waiting on the blood which altogether took almost 2 hours, then she had to receive 2 pints to get her through, and I asked that they only give her 1/2 a benadryl....they did and it still knocked her out for more than 3 hours. We finally got to leave at about 6:45 and we made it home around 8 p.m.
The home nurse is going to draw labs again on Thursday and Dr. Edwards seems to think she will be able to return on Monday to start her Chemo. Her ANC needs to be a 1000 or more and her platelets needs to be 75 or more. Just keep praying. ♥
Also, while at the Clinic Heaven was able to hang out with Beth and Emily for a little while...we took pics but I will upload them tomorrow. They had fun chatting with each other today. :)

Waiting.....results are in

‎2-13-12.....Heaven's home Nurse just left about 15 minutes ago, she is going to run the labs s.t.a.t. so that we can get the results soon (Lord willing). Anyways, we will find out today if we go back to Roanoke tomorrow and if not maybe her counts will be good enough to at least get her off the antibiotics. Please continue to pray for her sisters...the devil is trying his best to make them feel un...loved at this time but I'd like to say....Girls, though I can't be with you around the clock and able to talk and hug you, please know that you are on my heart constantly and that I love and miss you all so much when we aren't here. Heaven and I chat about how each of you have your own little things that you do and we pray for you to. Just remember that satan is the author of confusion and that he will use any tool he can to make you feel like no one cares...dont'let him!!! We love you all so much and we would never intentionally want to make either of you feel the way satan wants you to feel. Lord thank you for our children and thank you for what they stand for and how they stick together when they are together. You could not have blessed us with better kids than these. ♥ Thanks
Well, we will be going to the hospital tomorrow, but not for chemo. Heaven has to have another blood transfusion because her hemoglobins are low. Here are the result fromt he labs.....

wbc--- 1.3 (normal is 4.8 to 10.8)
hemoglobines--- 6.6 (normal is 13 to 16)
platelets---29 (normal is 130-400)
anc---18.1 (normal is 1800 to 7700) but for chemo it needs to be 1000
Please pray that we have safe travels tomorrow and that the numbers will rise in Gods timing.

Are you having a bad day so far today? Feel like no one cares? Just get up and go bless somebody generously today!!!! Trust me, you will feel so much better and youwill see that YOU care. Jesus love you ♥

Today has been a rough day...emotional day...Heaven is doing great, her appetite is still great. I jsut need everyone to pray for our 16 yr.old daughter Samantha. The seperation between her and me has taken its toll and today she jsut came apart. After much talking, and praying, I am really praying that she realizes that things will get back in order once Heaven is donw with her treatments and the mainly, she will look to Christ for strength and guidance. Thank you all for you prayers thus far and please don't stop...satan is trying to weasel his way in and I ask that you all rebuke him back to hell where he belongs.

Great Apetite

Heaven's appetite has been great yesterday and today. Our neighbors even stopped and grabber her a couple bags of pizza rolls. Lord willing her counts will be up on Monday. My little cold is now gone...I never knew that so much snot could build up in such a little area like the nose, my goodness, I needed to buy some stock in Kleenex. lol.
Hope and pray that everyone had a wonderful day today and that the wind didn't blow much away. To God be all the glory in all that we do. Continue to pray for heaven and our family. I had explained to her the other day that this is a fire for her to walk through because God is putting her through a refining process...being tried as silver.
We love and thank you each and every one. <3

‎.....Heaven is feeling really good this morning, she was actually up before me...Amen!!! We are off to thte grocery store and I bet none of you can guess what were gonna get. lol

Thursday, February 9, 2012

Lord, we need these numbers to come up.

2-9-12.....Heaven's home Nurse cam by around 9a.m. this mornig to draw labs and we just got the numbers back.....

WBC-- 1.1 (up by a couple)
Hemoglobins-- 7.7 (down by a few)
Hematacrits-- 21.1 (also down by a few)
Platelets-- 16 (down by 6)
ANC--0.022 (at least there are numbers to see)

The nurse weighed her with a different but she thinks the scale is off by about 5 pounds...its an older scale, she said another nurse had the one she normally uses.

Thanks you Lord for the numbers but I ask that you please help Heavens body to increse in the Platelet, WBC adn ANC areas, actually in all areas if you could jsut even it all out to where is should be.
So far this morning, within the last 2 hours, Heaven has eaten about 10 pizza rolls, a plate of spaghetti and a mixed berry her appetite is picking up. Praise the Lord. Please continue to pray for Heaven and our family. Lord willing it will be next week before we have to go back to Roanoke.

Here is something for all my family and friends to think got me to thinking.

What if you woke up today and the only things you had were the things you thanked God for yesterday?
Heavens appetite has really picked up ove the last several hours. If she wants something to eat, I am gonna get it for her. Thank you Jesus...maybe by Monday her numbers will be 10 times what they are now...hey, I serve a big and mighty God and I have seen Him do it before.

More Pizza

....Heaven is well today, says shes tired. She asked for pizza rolls while I was out, so I stopped and grabbed her a big bag of 90. She is knawing on them now. We need to get as much weight on her as possible before we have to return.Well, after the pizza rolls she wanted some spaghetti, so guess what, I made spaghetti. She ate most of what I put int he bowl for her...I am hoping this appetite will continue to increase hourly instead of daily. Please continue to pray fervently for Heaven.
Also, today may I ask you all a question?

Is anything to hard for God? Who's got a problem beyond His power to solve? Are there situations He's not the Master of? So, is anything to hard for God?

Nope!!!!! There isn't. I had ot take the truck today to see why it was making an aweful whining noise and I had asked several here topray about the situation. Well, when I got there Trina has to call and make sure the part was covered by the war...ranty and Prise the Lord!!! it was. And guess what? They had the part in stock!!! nope that not a coincidence...thats God. Well, they said I had a $50 deductable...well I didnt' have $50 on me...Trina again left the room and when she came back, she told me that one of the owners of the company said that he would give me 2 weeks to pay it. Praise the Lord!!! Now I am home and the truck sounds so much better, Thank you Lord for making it all work out for us. ♥ you so much.
I came driving down the road heading home and all I could do is cry and thank Him for all the things He has done for us. God is still good when the waves roll high, God is still good all through the night, when I've done all I can and I don't understand...God is still good!!! Clouds of doubt may darken the way but showers of blessings may come any day, we'll make it through and I'll stand and say God is still good!!!
We need to praise when were in the valleys the same as if we were on the mountain top!!
I'm not feeling to good here this evening...I have a runny but stuffy nose, I am sneezing my head off, my throat is a little scratchy...I dont' need this!!! I keep sticking a spoon in honey (a different one each time) and I am trying to sooth my throat with that, I have taken an antihistamine, but it hasn't kicked in yet, Wayne and Samantha get home from church tonight, I may take some Nyquil, not for sure though because I have to keep an eye on Heaven. Lord, take this little cold away, please.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

‎2-7-12.....Heaven is doing good today. She is actually outside right now enjoying the sunshine. I need to ask everyone to pray that her appetite increases, like, yesterday. She needs the nutrients and the weight to add on before we go back to the hospital. Thank you all for all that you do for us.

Also, I'd like to wish our daughter Alexandra Happy 21st Birthday!!!!!

"I'm Gonna Love You Through It" - Martina McBride

Waiting on the results....

‎2-6-12...This moring the nurse came and Heaven had her labs drawn today and we are waiting for the results to see if we have to go back to the hospital tomorrow or wait until later this week. Her ANC needs to be 1000 or more before they can start any chemo treatments. She was weighed and she has only gained a 1/2 pound since we got home last Monday night. Please pray that the weight will pile on... so she will have that to fall back on when ti gets to where she can't eat because of the Mucasitis and the rawness in her throat. I am actually hoping that we won't have to go to the hospital until maybe next week. Also, pray for her ANC to get well over a 1000 and that her platelets and wbc and all the others rise too. Thanks again for all your prayers for our family ♥
Heavens counts came back and her WBC, Platelets and ANC are to low. It may be next week before we go back which is fine because I'd like to get those numbers as high as possible and she needs to pack on some more weight. Please continue to pray for Heaven and our family. Cindi Silvers-Davis Heaven doesn't like applesauce. lol. We are trying to get good food with lots of fat and calories.

The Bowling Family - Your Cries Have Awoken the Master HD

Proverbs 3:5-8

5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear teh Lord, and depart from evil.
8) It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
It's a beautiful Sunday morning here in Virginia, yes its raining but its still the day that the Lord hath made. Was thinking of taking Heaven to church today but with it being cold and damp, I thought it would be best to keep her home. Hubby and Sam are getting ready now for church and I know they will hear some great preaching and come home and tell us all about it. Heaven and I both miss going but it is for her best interest that we stay home.
Last night Heaven wanted to watch the movie "Letters to God", I shouldn't have let her watch it because afterwards she went to her room and cried thinking that was gonna be her...jsut broke my heart into pieces. I explained that the boy in the movie had Brain Cancer and that that type is much worse than hers. She looked up at me at that point and a tear just streamed down her cheek. Lord, help me to comfort her and forgive me for allowing her to watch the movie. I am going to call the church that is making the movies like "Fireproof" and "Courageous" and ask them if they can make one of these movies that portrays a child with Leukemia that has a positive and happy ending, instead of hollywood making all these kids think that there is no hope.
Heaven is doing good, she ate pretty good yesterday and all but I keep going back to the movie I shouldn't have let her watch. She had a good nights sleep and is actually still sleeping now. Here shortly I am going to wake her up and make a smoothie with yogurt in it for her. She needs the yogurt with the antibiotic that she has to take 3 times a day. I ask that you all not stop praying, please continue to keep Heaven in your prayers....remember to pray specifically. Also, if your prayer list is can pray for Emily (11) in NY that has Aplastic Anemia and Emily (14) in VA that has a type of Leukemia, and Jordan (9) that has been fighting since she was a tiny baby, and Beth (16) in VA that has ALLand has toughed it out since she was 5, and Riley (4) and Zoe (6 or 7) both newly diagnosed with a form of Leukemia. All but one of these kids, plus several more I haven't met yet, are in the same hospital as Heaven and all of them have a story to tell. Lets pray for them all...they deserve it. Love to Christ and to you all, many blessings

2-4-12...My Hero

So far Heaven has had a great day today. Wayne and I were able to go out to eat for the first time in a while, though I was concerned the whole time, I had peace that she would be o.k. Anyways, today was a beautiful rainy day, inside and out. love to you all.

A short trip back to Roanoke.....

‎2-3-12.....We will be leaving here in about an hour to go back up to Roanoke to the Clinic so that Heaven can get the platelet transfushion that she needs. Please pray that these counts come up and also the needs to be at 1000 before they can start the next round of chemo. Thank you all so much for all you have done and may Chriat bless you all accordingly. ♥
Made it back from Roanoke and all went well. It took about an hour to run the platelets in. Also, while there I went and picked up Heavens that I had accidentally thrown in the laundry bin. LOL.
Did you know that... When you carry the Bible, Satan has a headache. When you open it, he collapses. When he sees you reading it, he faints. Let's read the Bible every day so he keeps on fainting. Maybe one day he'll faint and never get back up. And did you also know that when you are about to share this with others. The devil will discourage you but share it anyway.

2-1-12....So sweet of her

This is a pic of the truck that almost hit Samantha and Mary (secretary from the Peds floor that escorted us out) If you look closely in the pic you will see our side mirror and Samantha was standing just behind the mirror and the door. All in all, this is just to close for comfort. All of us was o.k. not sure about the driver.

This is a pic of Heaven showing how we all should be.
