1-30-12...Were Home Please read Update...we are very thankful to be home

‎1-30-12.....heaven had the CT Scan and the Ultrasound done this morning at 8:30 a.m. We haven'[ treceived any info so far on them...I suppose the Dr. is looking at them. Also, she is getting a platelet transfushion now and a blood transfushion shortly and if the test come back good and she has no reactions to the transfushions...we may get to go home this evening. God is so good when we need Him and I love Him so much. ♥

The result s are back from the test.....Praise God they all look good!!! Glory!!! Once the blood transfushion is done and she wakes up they say we may be heading out of here by 6:00 P.M. I added it up in my mind today htat we have been here 53 out of 64 days.....I thank God for contentment. :-)

We made it home a around 9:30 p.m. tonight and I thank and praise my Saviour that we made it!!! What was a happy time of being able to leave the hospital...right outside the door turned almost deadly!!
It was right at 8:00 p.m and we had packed up the very last of our items to carry down, we were escorted by the secretary on the Peds floor down to the front entrance. While they waited in the lobby for me, I let them knowit would be a few minutes because I had to let the truck get just a little warm. Well, I backed up and pulled around to the front door. At the front door there is a sidewalk with those protector bars for vechicles that may get out of control and then there is wide walk-way for the pedestrians. I got out of my truck and walked around it and was standing in the middle of the sidewalk and motioned for Mary (the escort) and Samantha & Heaven...well, they came on out and Heaven got into the back seat and Samantha opened the passenger door as I walked to where Mary was which was about a foo or so beside Samantha and I took some flowers from her to put into the truck, well, i walked to the drivers side and put the flowers in the back floor-board. At this point I heard and loud thud and Samantha said Momma!! I stood up and there was a Nissan SUV about 3 feet from Samantha and Mary!!! My heart stopped, went to my stomach or was jsut hiding somewhere in my body. The lady driving had cam in vertically toward us down the sidewalk and if Jesus hadn't put His mighty hand in there she would have ran over Sam and Mary and then hit the truck where Heaven was seated. Only about 3 inches of her bumper caught the safty pole in front of the hospital and that is what stopped her. The lady was having a seizure and her doors was locked, a man tried busting her passenger window with his keys and then I remembered I had a small hammer in my dash and Sam got it for me and I handed it off to him, he busted the window, jumped into the truck and put the SUV in park. I thank my God above whom I love dearly for watching over us when we least expected it. All I could do was to stand there and cry tears of joy that Christ reached down and protected my girls and Mary from this aweful accident. Thanks you again Jesus and thanks to all who are praying for our family...please dont' stop because the ol devil is mad cause he ain't winning!!! ♥ you all and again.....Thanks

1-29-12....Test Ordered

‎1-29-12....Heaven has normal range temps through the night. Praise the Lord!!! The Dr. has odered CT Scan and an Ultrasound to make sure that there isn't any fungal infection lerking about somewhere. So at this point we aren't sure when we can get to go home. Again, we thank you all for your prayers and please continue for God is still listening. ♥

1-28-12...Day 24 We might get to go home----change of plans

‎1-28-12....Correction from yesterday, we had only been here for 23 days and today is day 24, lol, anyways Heaven did great through the night with only a 100 temp so Dr. Edwards said this mornign that if she keeps doing this good that we might get to go home tomorrow. If so we will get to be there (home) for 9 to 10 days before we have to come back for the next round of chemo treatments. Please fe...rvently pray that we can get her counts up really good and that we can add some weight back on her quickly so that she will have some fall-back for the next round. I have already been informed to pack as though we will be here for a month...
so anyone (family & Friends) who hasn't been sick or around someone that has been sick, you are more than welcome to come and visit. I ask though if you bring Heaven a gift please don't bring fresh flowers or plants and please no sugary sweets or candy.
The reason beings in fresh plants/flowers send off mold spores that would not be good at all for Heaven and sugar filled candies or sweets aren't good either because cancers thrive off of sugars.
Thank you allfor all your prayers and love gifts that you have sent us since all this first took place...I can promise you that all will be used for Gods glory. I'd also like to thank my cousin Sherry who continually checks our blog and keeps my Momma informed of all changes that is taking place, I'd like to thank all my family and friends that call me throughout the day to ask how Heaven and I are doing, I like to thank all of you for your prayers, and may Christ bless each of you in His own way. Right now Heaven is eating a Chicken Pot Pie and is texting on her Ipod. She is tired though becasue she has to walk 3 times a day or more around the Nurses Station for excercise...she would prefer to walk in her own room. lol.

Well at about 1:30 her fever was 100.7 so looks liek we will be here tomorrow. We will get to go to the house when the Lord want us to. At least I am losing some lbs by eating the salads here, lol

 Had 2 other fevers earlier....at 4:30p it was 101.3 and then about an hour and a half later it was 101....

But guess what!!!!! God is still good :-)

1-27-12.....Day 23 and things are looking a bit better

1-27-12.....Day 25 in Roanoke and i am as content as I can be to be right by the side of one of my children that needs me, this is where I am to be at this point and I am so thankful that Jesus has given me and Heaven some of His grace and His strength to be here for so long lengths at a time. Also, my Momma came to visit last night, it was good to see her and (cousin) Larry is so funny, it takes them 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get here and yet Larry sacrificed his time to bring Momma up to see Heaven, what a blessing and it was a a good time because I think Heaven actually felt her best last night. Heaven jsut smiled and laughed and jsut had a swell time with Momma and Larry. Thank you both for coming to visit and Larry I thank you for taking time out of your schedule to bring Momma to see us. May Christ richly bless the ministry that you are partaking of. Also, She had no fevers as I know of through the night so we will see how today goes. She did ask for  achicken pot pie so one of the other mothers took me to the grocery store so I could pick up a few things, and that was a blessing to me.
I was able to speak with 2 other Mothers of children with Leukemia and it was such a blessing to share our thoughts and ideas and just to talk with someone that knows exactly how your heart feels. So, if you all would like to add Jordan (she is 9) and Beth (she is 16) both of these girls are a blessing and they have been fighting Leukemia since they were very small, Jordan was a baby and I think Beth was 5, and these 2 brave young girls could really use your prayers.
My hands have been idle because I ran out of fatquarters/ fabric in general and I have ran out of the poly-fil fiber to stuff with so I have made any pillows and that really hurts because of the number of kids that are being brought in daily. I understand that I can't make one for each child, but I could come pretty close if I had the materials to work with, anyways God is still good, He may have seen that I needed a break.
Thank you all mainly for your prayers and we will continually thank you, thank you for the cards that have been sent and also the encouraging words and again we thank God for His continued strength and I pray that He give us a double dose of strength and grace for next month.

1-26-12....Still having fevers

‎1-26-12.....Heaven did great during the night, her temps stayed 99 and under but as soon as the day got started jsut a little a small fever of 100.3 came. Then a few hours later it was 101.1 and then within 15 minutes it went to 101.3. If it gets to 101.5 they will have to draw cultures again and make sure its not coming from any type of infection. She still gets tired real easy and is eating jsut a little, but no much. Her weight has dropped back to 103.6 and we really need these fevers to stop coming, but if you look back this is the same thing that happened in Dec. just this time we were able to go home for a couple days. Also, she is receiving a platelet transfusion right now beings her number dropped to 7, anytime the number drops under 10 they get a transfushion. Please continue to pray for her . Thank you all.

 Heavens temp was yet agin 101.4 at about 4:30 p.m so Dr. Edwards is going to put her on a different antibiotic called Meropenem so Lord willing this will help stop the fevers but we will see. Christ is the Great Physician and we will trust in him to lead Dr. Edwards, Atkinson & Fisher to make the right decisions for Heaven.

1-25-12....

‎1-25-12.....Heaven went through the night fever free...praise the Lord!!! She is doing much better today, even though she got somewhat choked on a chocolate nutrition drink, but she is o.k. She may be receiving another blood and platelet transfusion today because her wbc are 0.6 and her platelets are down again to 13. We will see what the day holds...moment by moment.

Well, I guess I spoke to soon...temp of 100.3 at 12:30p.m.

‎1-24-12.....Heaven rested good last night. She had one temp of 100.3 and we are praying for all to go back to normal in the temp area. Thank you all fo rpraying for Heaven and please know that each one is accepted and appreciated. I'm going to try and get Heaven to eat some solid foods today and try and get her up to walk around some today in hopes that it will certainly help her progress.

 Heavens fever just went to 101.0 so we are here for another 24 hours, but thats ok...I'd rather be here and it happen than to go home and have to turn around and come back.

1-23-12....

1-23-12.....Heaven had a good nights sleep last night, the nurses and I agreed to change her from receiving morphine to Lortab (it last longer and she can rest better) she actually had her last dose of Lortab at 9:30 p.m. last night and right now it is 7:40 a.m. and she said she doesn't need any as of yet, so the pain isn't that intense right now. Praise the Lord!!!I noticed that Heaven had a nose bleed during the night and when I asked her why didn't she let me know, she said "Mom It wasn't that bad". lol Wayne left her this morning at 5 a.m. so he could go home and feed the critters and make him some lunch for work. Heaven was happy to see her daddy, she hadn't seen him since last wednesday night. I sure miss my other girls, I miss seeing them and spending time with them, but they understand.
I'd just like to take a minute and say thank you to my Saviour who has given strength, grace and has shown His mercy through this time and has kept me in the right spirit and has helped me to stay focused on Him. <3 Thank you Jesus. Hey satan, you can cast all the stone you want at me...but just so you know, I WILL NOT BE MOVED!!!

Heavens blood work jsut came back minutes ago and they are up just a tad but her platelets have fallen again. they were 18 went to 43 and they are now down to 24. Her temp went form 98.4 to 100.4 in less than a half hour.

1-22-12....May be cloudy but today is much brighter

‎1-22-12.....Heaven is a little better today...much more than yesterday morning. She will be receiving 2 units of blood here shortly. We gave her a small dose of morphine to tide her over just a bit until we could get some Lortab in her for pain. Now she says the pain is tolerable so this way she isn't so anxious. She can only eat cherry jello right now but that is way better than nothing. She hasn't had anymore nose bleeds so that is a huge blessing. Thank you Jesus!!! Thank you all for your continued prayers for Heaven and our family. ♥ to all and may you have a blessed day.

Had another parent approach me in the hall to tell me thanks fo rmaking her 8 yr. old son a pillow. Bless his heart, he is 8 yrs. old and broke both of his femur bones in both legs and has been in a body cast for 3 months. His mother told me that he smiled so big when the nurse walked in the room and said that someone had made the pillow just for him. It's an amazing feeling doing things for others. 12 pillows have been made here since yesterday and all of them are already gone. What a blessing to be a blessing to others. Thank you Jesus for such a giving heart <3

1-21-12.......bad night and early morning w/ updates

‎1-21-12.....2:45 a.m. and it seems the morphine is helping Heaven rest a little better. Her temp spiked to 102, so Tylenol was administered. She had 3 more nose bleeds after 11:00 p.m one lasting more than 10 minutes. She also had some abdominal pains and her back was hurting. I don't think I will sleep just so I can keep an eye on her. Please continue to pray for Heaven. ♥ you all

Well, I finally was able to get a little sleep around 5 a.m. this morning and then I heard Heaven call for me at around 7:30 a.m. Sure was a long night but I am glad she was able to rest. THis morning she was nausea and vomiting with jsut a little nose bleed, she was given zofran for the nausea and she is resting yet again. Even with everything that is going on and taking place...It is a beautiful rainy day :)
Also, Another Platelet transfusion is about to take place...this will be the second one since yesterday.

Well,Heaven has had a better day than she did earlier this morning. Also,  Heaven has taken her Glutamine, her Bactrum, Magic Mouthwash and Paradax....she shouldn't be bothered during the night except when they come in and take labs in the morning so she should get some rest tonight. So far out of 27 hours I have had 2 hours sleep, I am totally running on fumes right now.And to keep my mind occupied today, I did some sewing and made 6 pillows for the kids here on the Peds Floor, then I ran out of polyfill-fiber...well, God is good, a lady who is here with her soon-to-be adopted son just showed up at the door with another 5 lb. box of fiber for me. Amen!! Now I can make 6 more pillows tomorrow. Oh, to see the smiles ont he kids faces when they receive one of the pillows. All Praises go directly to Christ.

1-20-12---Not a good day

‎1-20-12.....Not a good day today...Heaven woke to a bleeding nose and then started vomiting, her temp rose to 100.5 so I called the Clinic and they saud to take her and get her labs drawn. So off to Franklin Memorial at around 9 a.m. Well, she is again neutropenic and her counts are low, I am now waiting for another temp to be taken and if it is above 101* we have to head to Roanoke. Please pray!!! Please.

Heavens temp has been at 101.1 for the last 15 minutes, I am on the phone right now with the Clinic and it is now confirmed that I have to take her to the PICU. Keep praying!!

Anyways, We are here at Roanoke in the PICU, Heavens temp is 101.4...they have started antibiotics (Cephine) and they are going to try and get her over the the Peds floor tomorrow. As before we had a quick trip here with not many interferences. Thanks for all your prayers. Keep them coming.

They are going to start platelets as soon as they get them form downstairs to the room. We are in room 1141 in the PICU.

It's 2:43 a.m. and I am still awake...The night and morning has not been good at all....3 more nose bleeds one lasting more than 10 minutes (she got really scared with this one), abdominal pain, back pain, morphine...Lord please help her rest and stay calmer a little better. 1-19-12

‎1-19-12.....Heaven had a good day today, her throat and mouth are raw and very sore. I know it will get worse before it gets better. Thank God for Magic Mouthwash. She will now have to force herself to eat soft foods and drink those nutrition drinks. Please continue to pray for our family and pray that Christ will continue to supply our needs. Thank you all for all you have done, we can't thank you all enough.

1-18-12

1-18-12.....Heaven did good today...no fever or nausea, though she did have a slight headache, she had a good day. Thank you all for your continual prayers. Also, It was such a blessing to hear from an old friend today who said he had gotten saved 5 years ago (thats the # of grace). He let me know htat his church has been praying for Heaven and that several of them are in the ministry called Sons of Thunder, they all own harley's, and they are going to make a trip up here to visit & pray with Heaven...what a blessing that will be. He said that if she is in the hospital that they are coming up there, what a sightit will be when up to 20 harleys come pulling up in our driveway or at the hospital. God is still good when the waves roll high, God is still good all through the night, when I've done all I can and I don't understand, God is still good...clouds of doubt may darken the way but showers of blessings will come anyday, we'll make it through and I'll stand God is still good. Amen

It sure feels good to be home. Please continue to pray for Heaven as next month will be more challenging for her. RIght now she is getting 150mg per dose of chemo 2 times a day...next month she will be getting 1000mg 2 times per day plus another 150mg. So please pray for Heaven and our family for strength during this time...also pray that we can get Heaven's blood counts and her weight up a lot so that she will have soem fallback when we gon in, in February.

1-16-12.....Day 8....almost done :)

Heaven woke this morning with a nose bleed, not to bad but we don't like nose bleeds at this point. I am letting her rest as long as possible today. We will be walking later today round and round the nurses station. Haven't seen the Dr. today yet, but she will be in soon (Dr. Atkinson). Please continue praying :-)

We spoke with Dr. Atkinson this morning about a shot that would help stop her "cycle" while going through the chemo, but we need to speak with her Dr. and an OB Dr. in the morning. We ...did get her blood counts back from this morning and they are down, not by much, but they are down a little...please pray that we can get these numbers up while we are at home.

‎1-15-12.....Heaven is doing great still. Her blood counts came in from the labs that was drawn at about 5 a.m. this morning. They are as follows.....

WBC--- 3.5
RBC--- 2.41
Hemoglobins--- 8.0
... Hematrics--- 22.9
Platelets--- 154
ANC--- 2300.....Praise the Lord for each of these readings. Some have dropped a little, but its not really a significent drop but they will be keeping an eye on her Hemo.'s and Platelets. They will probably take more labs in the morning jsut to see how things are going. Please continue praying and we love you all so, so much. ♥

1-14-12.....WoW!!! What a day this has been

First off, Heaven is doing great. Dr. Edwards actually told her this morning that if she continues to do so well that she may get to come home on Tuesday. Praise the Lord.

Also, I have met an extraordinary young lady today. So let me take you back a bit.....yesterday I watched Dr. Edwards go into one of the other rooms here at the hospital, no I am not stalking him just watching so I can see who I can make something for, anyways I made this young lady a pillow that was printed with purses on it out of some fabric that my friend Ruby form church had brought me. Well, when the night nurse gave it to her she immediately told her that she wanted to meet me. Whew! I didn't think it would be this hard.

The nurse and I finally got together for me to go and visit, I can't go in unless there is a nurse or Dr. is with me, anyways her name is Emily G. and she is 16 yrs. old. and has a twin brother, and she loves purses, now tell me that God doesn't know what He's doing even when it comes to something so simple, but, all I know is she has some form of dilipidating/deterating leukemia. We introduces ourselves and then she began to tell me her symptoms and how it all began. As we talked she told me that when she first got to Carillion Roanoke that she had to stay here for 5 full months, at this time I knew this conversation was going to be overwhelming. She told me how sick she was, how she had a stroke, and then how she can't walk.....this is when I realized how blessed we all are. If you could have only seen her eyes as she talked...anyways we talked for several more minutes because she had asked me how Heaven was and that she really wanted to meet her. Lord my heart breaks for her and her family. She has very good spirits about her and smiled a lot. When I excused myself back to our own room, all I could do was go into the bathroom and cry and thank God that Heaven can still walk, and move around and is still able to do the things that Emily can no longer do. All I could do was say a prayer for Emily G. and her family, that Christ would give them all he strength that they need to get through this. So, when your feeling like your having a bad day, you really need to think of all the little ones that can't do the simple things that we all take for granted.

As I sit here in the playroom typing up this for all of you to read, there is a little 3 yr. old boy here named Nathan, He has an aging disease and they have now found that he is type 1 diabetic. He has a very sweet smile and we made him a pillow with a farm scene on it. Each time he sees me he smiles. That's what it is all about...just to see them smile.

Also, there is another boy here named Oyis....not sure of his age but he looks to be around Heavens age. Anyways, he is from Haiti and was involved in the earthquake over there and the bone in the top of his leg was broken in several places. He is being adopted by a nice family here and even the soon to be Mom works here at the hospital. Anyways, he has several pins in his leg holding it together. He is a smart little boy that will have to face even more surgeries until all of this is corrected.

I am so amazed as to how the devil is attacking our children mentally, physically and emotionally. So please, I beg you, don't you dare stand back and let him have them...you stand up and fight for your children, remember, God gave them to you to take care of, not to cast them off to this world.

O.k there is also other kids here that, just to see them breaks my heart. A little 3 to 4 yr. old with a trachea in his throat, another that was having seizures. So many that needs our precious prayers...the ones that will ring the prayer bells of heaven, the ones that will reach the Throne of God, the ones from our hearts. I ask you to please pray for these kids and the many others around this country that are in the same condition.

1-12-12....A very Sunny Day

1-12-12.....So far today Heaven and I have walked for 30 to 35 minutes round and round the nurses station. Today, I think, will be another taste test day for Heaven to try and find the nutrition drink or juice that she can tolerate. Heaven is in such good spirits it just about makes me wanna cry, she is jsut so happy and just laughing so much this morning already. Praise God...
Also, there is another little girl named Emily, I believe she is 9, she lives in New York with her Mom , Dad and 2 sisters. Emily is literally fighting for her life. She has Aplastic Anemia and she has been through the ringer. She needs a Bone Marrow Transplant but her numbers keep dropping lower and lower. Jesus knows all the details...she jsut needs you to lift her up to Christ and ring the prayer bells of heaven. If you could just please add this little girl to your prayer list, I know she and her family would be grateful. Thank you all for all your <3 and kindness.

There are so many sick children that it just breaks my heart. The devil certainly plays fast and loose with our children. But we know he can NOT go against God's word. He can NOT withstand our prayers. He can NOT take our children without a fight. I feel so sorry for the ones who don't know that. And then they blame God for their loss. I feel so bad for those people because they don't understand how faith in God, the Father, Jesus, our saviour, and the power of the Holy Spirit is so very real. We see miracles around us everyday in even the smallest things.

Heaven is now getting ready to receive her 2nd chemo for today, afterwards she has 2 more left to do. She is doig so well. thank you all for your prayers. Also we walked again at about 12:30 p.m. or so and we walked for about 20 minutes...we will be walking again soon.

1-11-12-----day 3 of chemo

‎1-11-12....Today has been a good day, Heaven has gained another pound, her appetite is great, and God is still good. Thank you all for your continued prayer.

I'd also like to ask if everyone would take time and say a prayer for Bro. Roger Henson, he is in the hospital with kidney issues and his lungs are filled with fluid. He could really use our prayers.

So far today Heaven has had 2 Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and 2 containers of Chef-boy-r-d Raviolli. Hmmm...wonder whats for dinner. lol.....Well, her dinner consisted of 2 bowls of Cherrios, Mozzirella Sticks and a Meatball Sub. I thank God she has an appetite.

Heaven has had a great day today.....Dr. Edwards is still very pleased with the way things are going. He told me this morning that with her first set of chemo treatments that it normally takes one around 8 weeks to recover, but Heaven recovered in 5 weeks (Praise God thats the number of Grace). He also informed us the the Paradax and Glutamine, he can't stress the continued use enough for her. Then, he added, that next month will be totally different from these first 2. Here is where the prayer warriors need to kick it up a notch or 2 or 3.....he said that for her next visit that she will begion to get 10 times the chemo that she is receiving now...that means since she will get 5 days of chemo she will receive 50 treatments. He also informed me that there will be days that she will jsut want to lay there and sleep through it, but wwe can't let her.....I REFUSE to let my baby lay there and let this overtake her. I ask......I can't ask enough for your prayers for Heaven, myself and our family. Thanks for all you have done thus far and may Christ bless each of you abundantly.

1-10-12.....Day 2

1-10-12.....Heaven has already had 1 chemo treatment early this morning at 3:00 a.m. She is sleeping as of right now and I just want to Praise the Lord for all He has done. Thank you Jesus for caring for Heaven the way You have.
Lat night we took many laps (about 10 or 12) around the Nurses Station...felt good to g et a little excercise. I had brought some flannel fabric with us and I made several Baby Binky Bibs for the babies up here, I also made 2 pillows that was passed to 2 little girls (1 was 8 and the other 1 was 3 or 4) I was told that the girls and their families loved'em.
There is now way, with the way that God has blessed us, that I could come up here and only have me on my mind...theres no way. Christ thought of everyone when He was on the cross so therefore, I must set myself aside and think of others first. It would be so selfish of me not to.

 o.k.....The Dr.s are shooting tostart the chemo around 3:00 p.m. today. She was really scared this morning when they went to access the port...we really had to calm her down, but after she was calm she done so much better. I can't even imagine how she felt being so scared. My heart jsut sank into my stomach to hear her feeling this way. But all is better, the port was accessed, it is a double port, and all is well with my soul and hers. Love to all of you.

1-8-12.....Sunday

1-8-12.....Heaven woke at a little past 9:30 a.m. I think the lying in the bed of  a night makes her sore for now but once she gets up and moving, she is o.k. Heaven and I both wanted to go to church today but we still have to be careful with so many being sick or even carrying a bug that hasnt' shown itself yet. We miss it so much but we do know that we will be back there in no time, singing, fellowshipping & praising the Lord again. We will be leaving at around 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning to head back to Carilion Roanoke for her second round of Chemo. She will take Chemo for 8 days and then whatever recovery time that will be needed afterwards.
As we have asked before, please continue to pray for Heaven and the rest of the family (Wayne, Angela, Samantha, Kayla, Alexandra, Aaron), this is immediate family to Heaven and we all need your prayers that we stay strong physically, mentally and emotionally for her.
Everyone who has taken their time to lift our family up in your prayers.....we thank you so very much and for everyone who has helped us at the homeplace with material and financial things.....thanks you so very much. You all have been such a blessing to our family and may Jesus <3 bless you all abundantly.

1-7-12.....Out of the House.....and now back in...lol

‎1-7-12.....Heaven was sore this morning when she woke up, but once she got to moving around she felt a bit better. We had to leave the house by 8:30 a.m. so Wayne and several men from church could work on getting the wood floor put in. Praise the Lord that they are helping. Myself, Samantha and Heaven are in Patrick County at a friend house hanging out with them and having fun.

heaven and I will be heading back to Carilion Roanoke on Monday at 9:00 a.m and we will probably be there for about 2 weeks or so. Please continue to keep Heaven and the rest of the family in your prayers. Love you all ♥

1-6-12.....Surgery Day.....added update

‎1-6-2012.....9:00 a.m. we are here in the pre-op room and Heaven is a little nervous, but she is going to be o.k. Dr. Atkinson & the boss Ms. Wendy will be doing the bone marrow and the LP and Dr. Wattsman will be doing the port placement. I say these names so that you can pray for the guidance of their hands and also pray that the leukemia Is in remission . Lord, our little girl is in Your hands...thank you for being here and guiding us through this . We love you all.

UPDATE::::: Heaven was in surgery for 2 hours and I just got a call from Dr. Wattsman and she let me know that all went well, the picc-line was removed and she is now in recovery. We get to go home until Monday and then we will be back for the next phase of things. Thank you all for the prayers for Heaven and the Dr.s' and if we hear anything else I will update any new info here. We are waiting to go back and see her.

UPDATE:::::We arrived home a little over an hour ago, around 5:30, and Heaven is resting until her pizza rolls are ready,lol, She and I will be heading back to Roanoke on Monday, they will start the next phase of Chemo so we will be there around 2 weeks or so maybe less, maybe more...we will have to wait and see.

‎1-5-12..... The nurse showed up at 9 a.m. and she has already drawn labs from Heaven...she is going to run the STAT so she can give me the numbers later. Please continue to pray for our family...I feel like the ol' sorry devil is gonna try and step in...keep praying. Also, I have to head out to the store to pick up a bag of Pizza Rolls for Heaven, lol, bless her heart she can't have anything after midnight tonight until after the surgery tomorrow. Please continue to pray for the numbers to be where they need to be.

Unfortunately we do not have the ANC number as of yet. But the Lord is definately watching over her and has His hand upon her.

UPDATE on my cousin Roger Loflin:::: At around 4 a.m. he flat lined and they brought him back and now they think he may have had another stroke. The family is there and they are all there praying for him. Please continue to pray for the family...
I just got a report from Roger younger sister that he is doing much better today...Praise the Lord!!! so the above may have been mistyped or misread.

Update:::I just spoke with Dr. Atkinson form the Clininc. Heavens ANC number is 500, not good enough for Chemo but, she said they are going to go ahead and place the Port, do the Bone Marrow Biopsy and the LP and if the Leukemia shows any sign of remission they will wait until next week before they start the Chemo but, if it shows no signs of remission she said that they need to start the Chiem soon after as to force the Leukemia into remission. This will bottom out her immune system so please pray that Christ will sork the miracal of remission.

1-4-12.....ANC numbers need to come up

1-4-12.....O.K. I called the Clinic and they said that Heavens ANC numbers from Mondays labs is only 300...they need to be 1000 before they can start Chemo. Dr. Edwards said she would be fine for surgery and  all but those numbers have to come up. She is getting labs drawn again tomorrow so if I can get everyone to pray for those numbers to some up...we would greatly appreciate it, this way the Chemo treatments can stay on task. Please make this a matter of prayer. Thank you all. <3

Also, last night Heaven and I was playing around and she told me to put her wig on,,,,it was hilarious to see me as a blond,,,,,lol.....but the funniest thing was, when I walked into the living room where Samantha was sitting, when she first say me she was laughing so hard she could'nt hardly breath but, her dog Shiloh.....I thought he was gonna eat me alive. It good to make fun memories with your kids...so when your hard day at work ends, go home and have fun with your family...it makes it all worth it.

Update: Roger did have a stroke on the left side of his brain and has effected his speech some and right arm some so please continue to keep him in your prayers. He has a long road ahead of him, he will go through therapy some. He is a fighter and with God on his side, his family and friends he will recover. This is a very hard thing for this family. I thank God that Roger is still with us. They are still some test that they are waiting on to final our everything and pray that nothing will change. He still needs everyone's prayers. Again thanks for all the prayers.

1-3-12....Haven't heard anything yet.....

1-3-12....We haven't heard form the Clinic as of yet, nor has the fella ffrom DSS for medicaid for Heaven hasn't returned my call as of yet, so here shortly, I'll be calling to find out what I can.
Heaven is still doing good, she is getting a bit concerned about the surgery Friday but I keep reminding her that Jesus is going to take care of her. She really wants me in the OR with her so I may have to chat with Dr. Edwards and see if they will let me jsut so she will stay calm.
Heaven is sitting here on the couch eating pizza rolls...she has gotten a taste for them from somewhere. lol. She is eating good and I want her to keep that up as long as possible. Samantha has made herself a Pineapple Smoothing as to where Heaven and I made on with Blueberries, Raspberries, Peaches, Pineapple and a little bit of Vanilla yogurt. Yummy!!!!!
Anyways, we appreciate all the prayers and all the help that everyone has offered, we pray daily that Jesus will bless each and every one of you. <3 to all.

1-2-12.....Heaven had another good nights sleep last night. I have waited to post because we were waiting on the blood counts to come back form the Clinic. Well, the result are in.....
WBC---1.8
Hemo.---7.7 ---down by 5 tenths
Hema.---21.9---down by 5 tenths
And Praise the Lord for all of the above and also for this next number...Amen!!!!
Platelets---170---almost tripled in 4 days.....Glory to God!!!
We haven't gotten the results of the ANC back, but hte nurse said they will get them tomorrow and as soon as she hears the results, she will call and fill us in.
Glory to God in the highest!!! Thank you Jesus for all your many blessings that we have received from Your loving hand!!!

Today Heaven slept in until after 10:30 a.m., we both went to bed well after 1:00 a.m. this morning but with have to give her the antibiotics every 8 hours...we sorta land on midnight everynight. She seems to be doing good this morning, I am trying to get her to drink a protein and nutrient rich milk but she seems to be stalling for some reason....just a tween thing I guess. lol

1-1-12....Wow, the beginning of a new year...where do we start? Praying everyone has a great one.
Heaven seems to be doing well. She is in good spirits. She really wanted to go to church this morning but with her immune system being so low...we could not afford to risk her going, so she and I stayed home and she is now eating on some pizza rolls and drinking her protein milk. Today is so beautiful...waking up to see my wonderful husband and our beautiful daughters...just makes life worth living.

Is is jsut me or has this kid grown fond of pizza rolls.....sure would love to get a supply for her. lol. Its hard to run to the store every day and buy a bag. lol. She is so funny.....
